1. What is story & background for the 888Ladies bingo brand?
888Ladies launched just over a decade ago and is one of our leading brands. It is one of the only bingo brands in the UK that’s name targets a female demographic and has become a popular online hub for women who love to play bingo and enjoy some light-hearted entertainment.
Unlike many other larger brands in our portfolio that we acquired such as Wink Bingo and Costa Bingo, 888Ladies was created in house. As a company we have four verticals – 888Casino, 888Poker, 888Sport, and 888Ladies (bingo).
Recently there has been a massive revival of bingo among a younger more diverse target audience and 888Ladies has evolved accordingly. We recently launched our newest campaign: Every Day is Ladies Day, inspired by Ladies’ day at major horse racing events. The idea is to give every woman the chance to feel special, and to add a little sparkle to her day.
What do you think the future holds for 888Ladies and the online bingo industry as a whole?
888Ladies has a bright future ahead! This year’s roadmap includes many exciting new product features that I know our players will love. One of our newest features is our daily jackpots from Red Tiger and our in-house studio Section 8. Every day a generous progressive jackpot must drop by midnight! Next month we will launch a similar feature where a progressive jackpot must drop in a specific bingo room.
We are also in the midst of giving 888Ladies a much needed ‘facelift’, to make our brand more relatable among this younger and more empowered audience. We strive to be the top online bingo brand for women in the UK.
With regards to the online bingo industry as a whole, bingo has become increasingly popular among a wider demographic, allowing bingo companies to expand their target audience. This new demographic includes both younger players who play on their phones on their way to work, but also includes the older more traditional players who enjoy playing bingo both online and in offline bingo halls.
How have online bingo players evolved over the years?
Like with many industries, our players hold higher expectations (and rightly so) for a seamlessly good product. We cannot afford product freezes, or glitches. They also expect to play on any device and on any platform, which is why our product is available essentially everywhere online.
Players have also become less loyal to a particular brand, holding multiple accounts including on our competitor brands. Having unique promotions, and product features is a must for retaining our players.
Which are the most popular games on 888Ladies?

This year we launched our global ‘Too much is too much’ campaign where we invested, and continue to invest, heavily in both out-of-home advertising and online campaigns. Part of our ongoing strategy is to raise awareness of the problems gambling can bring, and we are proud to uphold regulations to the highest standards without playing on any grey areas.
